One of the ongoing activities of the REACH Ministry is the free Blood Pressure Screenings offered the third Sunday of each month after the morning service.
This is a free and confidential service provided by the Faith Community Nurse and trained volunteers of the REACH Ministry. The screenings are located in the heritage room of the Abbe Reformed Church and in the library of the Clymer Hill Reformed Church.
These screenings are to increase awareness and knowledge of prevention, detection, and management of hypertension (high blood pressure). It is valuable for monitoring blood pressure between doctor appointments. It also provides an opportunity to interact with a healthcare professional to have questions answered.
To promote further health and wellness, healthy snacks are offered on these Sunday’s during the coffee fellowship time following the service.
